Tips for Parents


TIPS FOR PARENTS

1. Scan the book before reading

2. Read books you enjoy also

3. Have expressions in your voice. Get into different characters by changing the tone of your voice.

4. Do not read to fast, read so the children can follow and understand

5. Stop and talk about the book with your child. Teaching comprehension can never start to early.

Children want to be read to and loves it. It just takes effort from the parent also to read to the child. It will improve their vocabulary and comprehension. This is very important for a child developing cognitively on track.
